I didn't ask for it, I didn't want it, change it back to the way it used to be. Updates make me want to punch a hole in the wall and take a baseball bat to whatever piece of technology that was so abruptly and rudely changed for no good reason. Hey, I get it, job security. But when I could do something with one click back in the 90's that now takes 17 unnecessary and grueling steps, I say, "well that's quite enough sir!"
Every God Damned time I finally figure out how to accomplish something on my computer or cell phone or cable television box, it changes. And what of video game systems you ask? I gave up after the Nintendo 64. Plop in the game cartridge and have at it! Now we have to download, buy special controllers, make avatars and in-game purchases even though I just spent almost a full Benjamin on this stupid frigging game that's no different than it was 25 years ago...yeah I'm looking at you Mario Kart!
Bring me back to the wonders of Windows 98 where even an idiot like me could breeze through and navigate every square inch of that program. Oh, it was beautiful! It didn't take a rocket scientist to write a letter or print it...and don't get me started on printing! Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?!!!!! Paper Jam? There's no fucking paper in the printer...what do you want me to unjam? Not connected to network? Arghhhhhh!
I think I see a bunch of clouds starting to roll in. I'm going to go outside and yell at them...in spite of the dreadful heat. And no, it's not a dry heat, I live in New Jersey...it's like the the fucking Dagobah swamp outside! Yoda, where the hell are you!? Maybe you can help me download this PDF.
"Need version 29.8 you do! Otherwise, print she will not!"

I feel your pain. It is a rare update which contains an urgent security fix worthy of being foisted upon you without your consent. These days, most of the time, it's just some new unnecessary feature that will complicate the perfectly functional workflow you already understood, harvest more of your personal information, get someone promoted, and justify a future update to fix all the new bugs.
