Happy Memorial Day!

After what seemed like 40 days and 40 nights of never ending rain, the Gods above shined mightily on us today. I'm very proud of my son William who marched for the first time in today's parade with the Roxbury High School Marching Band. (He's the blonde long hair in the middle with the trumpet...just follow the big yellow arrow!)

I have always had a fondness for Memorial Day to begin with as it ushers in the summer and honors our veterans. And I won't lie to you, I enjoy the burgers, dogs and beers that come with it. That's the big trifecta, I tell you what! My family and I live on our town's parade route which makes the day even better. Enjoy the pics that follow, as you take in a little slice of Americana!

Time for the candy throw! I will be finding Jolly Ranchers on my front lawn for the next two months!
